Is Your Heart Set on a Vette?

TBH FOUNDATION GIVES AWAY NEW CORVETTE!
Excitement was in the air at The Bellevue Hospital’s Centennial Gala Event on Feb. 25, 2017 at Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron, where Bruce Farline of Spokane, WA was announced as the grand prize winner in the 7th annual “Is Your Heart Set on a Vette” raffle. The winning ticket number was 1445.
The winners were drawn out of a barrel containing all 1,917 tickets that were sold for the raffle. Each ticket was $100 and the accounting firm of Cook, Smith & Schmidt, CPA’s, Bellevue, OH, verified that all tickets were properly filled out and placed in the locked barrel prior to the drawing.
As the grand prize winner, Farline has his choice of $100,000 in cash or a brand new 2017 Corvette plus $40,000 in cash. Farline saw the ad for the raffle in Hemmings Motor News and purchased his ticket on the hospital’s vetteraffle.com website.
Five runner-up winners each received cash prizes. They are:
•    Joseph A. Heart, Kenton, OH, first runner-up, $2,017
•    Steve & Mary Swartz, Bellevue, OH, second runner-up, $1,917
•    David S. Baldwin Jr., Valparaiso, IN, third runner-up, $1,500
•    Bruce D. Felgen, Homewood, IL, fourth runner-up, $1,000
•    Kent Dyson, Wabash, IN, fifth runner-up, $500
“We wish to congratulate Bruce and the five runner-up winners,” said Michael K. Winthrop, President and CEO of The Bellevue Hospital (TBH). “We kicked-off this raffle in September of 2016 and our goal was to sell all 1,917 tickets, in honor of the year The Bellevue Hospital opened its doors to its first patients. And because of the loyalty of our past and new ticket holders, we sold-out on Jan. 4, 2017!”
Continued Winthrop, “For us, that made the raffle highly successful. It was important for us to sell and run this raffle in the right way and it was a great effort from our Foundation, Accounting Department, Marketing Department, and numerous volunteers.”
Tickets were sold to people in 45 different U.S. states, noted Dennis Sabo, TBH Foundation Director. “I would like to personally thank Gary Steinle of Steinle Chevrolet-Buick in Clyde. They were the co-sponsor of this event. Also, thanks to Bill & Scott Brugnone at the Bellevue Beverage Center, the Fremont Steinle location, Tracy Hogue and Hogue’s IGA in Bellevue, the hospital Gift Shop staff, Craig Stahl and Lake Shore Graphics, and the Foundation Board members for all the support. We could not have accomplished this massive project without all their help.”
Sabo noted that all proceeds will benefit Foundation women’s and children’s projects, including the Women’s Mammography Fund, which will help supply screening mammograms for underinsured or uninsured women.
The 2018 Corvette Raffle will kick-off with Early Bird specials beginning in September, 2017. The grand prize will once again be a new Corvette and $40,000, or $100,000 in cash.
