TBH Held Children's Bike Decorating Contest at Community Days

  • Nearly 20 children brought their bikes to The Bellevue Hospital Foundation's Bike Decorating Contest on Saturday, June 24 as part of the Bellevue Community Days Celebration.
  • Kaycee Valko is congratulated by Michael K. Winthrop, President and CEO of The Bellevue Hospital. Kaycee won 1st place in the 5 years and under age category.
  • Corrine Weaver was the 2nd place winner in the 5 years and under age category.
  • Michael K. Winthrop, President and CEO of The Bellevue Hospital congratulates Noah Stewart on his 1st place win in the 6-10 years age category.
  • Stephen Penrod was awarded the 1st place prize in the age 11 years and older category.
  • The Bellevue Hospital handed out free bike helmets to the Bike Decorating participants and other Community Days attendees as part of the hospital's plan to promote youth bike safety.

As part of The Dr. Elbert D. Lawrence Memorial Classic Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show, The Bellevue Hospital hosted a bike decorating contest on Saturday, June 24 at the Bellevue Community Days Celebration.

Children brought their undecorated bikes to The Bellevue Hospital tent at the car show and let their imagination take over!

Decorating materials were supplied and prizes were awarded to first and second place in the following age categories: 5 years and under, 6-10 year olds, and 11 years and over. Prize winners included:

- 1st place, 5 and under: Kaycee Valko
- 2nd place, 5 and under: Corrine Weaver

- 1st place, 6-10: Noah Stewart
- 2nd place, 6-10: Logan Buck

- 1st place, 11 and over: Stephen Penrod

Winners received passes to Bellevue's Jungle Junction.

All bike decorating participants received a door prize, a coupon for an ice cream cone donated by Miller's Drive-In.

Free bicycle helmets were also given out at The Bellevue Hospital's tent to promote youth bike safety.
