TBH Announces Visitor Restrictions During Flu Season

To help reduce the spread of influenza and influenza-like illness, The Bellevue Hospital (TBH) has announced temporary visitor restrictions, effective immediately. 

TBH requests children under the age of 18 not visit patient care areas in the hospital. In addition, anyone who is sick witha fever, cough, runny or stuffy nose, shortness of breath or stomach problems remain at home and not visit patients at the hospital. Community members should not visit until symptoms have subsided. 

Visitors also are currently being restricted to two per patient in all areas of the hospital.

“These restrictions have been put in place to protect the health and well being of our patients and community,” said Patty Semer, TBH’s Vice President of Administrative Services.
