Join Us For The Fall Into Wellness Health Fair

The Bellevue Hospital (TBH) will present a “Fall Into Wellness” Health Fair on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the hospital’s 1400 W. Main Street location in Bellevue.

The fair will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and will offer a wide range of health screenings, informational displays, refreshments and door prizes. Participants should park and enter the hospital through the South Main Entrance facing U.S. Route 20.

Health screenings available at the fair will include: 

  • Free blood pressure and glucose checks
  • Free balance screenings
  • Free varicose vein screenings
  • Colon cancer take-home screening collection kits
  • Mammography screenings

Participants wanting a screening mammogram will need to schedule a timeslot for the day of the event and call 419.484.5960 prior to Sept. 30 to pre-register. A limited number of mammography appointments are available. Any eligible insurance will be billed. Individuals who are underinsured or uninsured, including those with high deductibles may be eligible to apply for the Breast/Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP). The event will offer participants a chance to receive self-pay wellness laboratory testing at the following prices:

  • Wellness panel – Complete Blood Count w/Complete Metabolic Panel and Fasting Lipid Panel - $60
  • Wellness panel - Complete Blood Count w/Basic Metabolic Panel and Fasting Lipid Panel - $50
  • Vitamin D - $35
  • Prostate Screen (PSA) - $30
  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) - $25
  • Hemoglobin A1C - $20
  • Fasting Lipid Panel - $20

All laboratory tests can be chosen and paid for at the time of collection. Pre-registration is required for wellness laboratory testing. To pre-register, call 419.484.5960.

The health fair will also feature information from several hospital departments including diabetes education, cancer care and infusion services, nutritional information, Anytime Fitness and silver sneakers, pain management and sleep disorder services. Participants will also be able to view hands-on demonstrations of TBH’s da Vinci surgical robot.

Flu shots will be offered to the public during the event. A regular dose for those age 18 – 64 will be available for $35. A high dose vaccine for those over the age of 65 will be available for $75. Flu shots will be fully covered for those with Medicare Part B or Medicare Advantage cards only. Those eligible must present their cards prior to receiving their vaccine. No Medicaid or private insurance will be accepted for the flu shot. Cash and check will be accepted.

Several community partner organizations will also be on-site providing health and wellness education including:

  • Alzheimer’s Association
  • Cancer Services
  • Community Health Services

Drown’s Garden Market of Green Springs will also be bringing a wide variety of fresh produce available for purchase.
