37th Annual TBH Foundation Golf Outing a Success!

  • The foursome from HPA Insurance shot a 15-under-par 56 to take Open Flight honors. Team members: Tom Barth, Brett Barth, Andy Younker and Jimmie Fitzgerald.
  • The Buckeye Medical, Inc. team shot a 13-under-par 58 to win the Mixed Flight Division. Members of the team were Jeff Kashian, Todd Moore, Marianne Schoen and Tim Phillips.
  • In honor of the hospital’s 100th Anniversary, golfers were encouraged to wear 1917 golf apparel. Team Bricker & Eckler, LLP took home the Best Dressed award for their centennial costumes. Team members: Dylan Sabo, Markku Aro, Zach Lilly and Oliver Male.
  • Michael K. Winthrop, President and CEO of The Bellevue Hospital congratulates Rob Walker from the Steinle Chevrolet-Buick Team. Walker hit a hole-in-one on hole number 7, winning him a four day golf resort vacation.

The 37th Annual Foundation Golf Outing of The Bellevue Hospital (TBH) was held on July 19 at Green Hills Golf Course in Clyde, with the proceeds to benefit the Hospital Foundation.

“I would personally like to thank all of the individuals, groups, and businesses who supported our golf outing this year,” commented Dennis Sabo, TBH Foundation Director. “This outing has long been a very successful event because of those people. Also, a big thank you to Green Hills and the Crockett family, all of my TBH volunteers and co-workers, and to our employees for all of the support.”

The foursome from HPA Insurance shot a 15-under-par 56 to take Open Flight honors in the outing, winning on a tie breaker, 2nd playoff hole over the second place team, TeamHEALTH. Members of the winning team were Thomas Barth, Brett Barth, Jim Fitzgerald and Andy Younker.

The Buckeye Medical, Inc. team shot a 13-under-par 58 to win the Mixed Flight Division. Members of the team were Marianne Schoen, Jeff Kashian, Todd Moore and Tim Phillips.
Prizes were awarded during the dinner to the following winners. First place teams won $400 each, followed by $200 for second place teams and $100 to third place teams.

Open Division: First place (56) – HPA Insurance: Thomas Barth, Brett Barth, Jim Fitzgerald and Andy Younker; second place (56) – TeamHEALTH; third place (57) – Pepper Construction.
Mixed Division: First place, (58) – Buckeye Medical, Inc.: Marianne Schoen, Jeff Kashian, Todd Moore and Tim Phillips; second place (61) – Janotta & Herner; third place (63) – Wal Mart.

The outing even had a hole-in-one, by Rob Walker from the Steinle Chevrolet-Buick Team. Walker’s single shot was on hole number 7, winning him a 4 day golf resort vacation. 

In honor of the hospital’s 100th Anniversary, golfers were encouraged to wear 1917 golf apparel. The team of Bricker & Eckler, LLP took home the Best Dressed award for their centennial costumes. The team included Markku Are, Zach Lilly, Oliver Male and Dylan Sabo. 

Field prize winners for closest to pin 2nd shot, closest to the pin tee shot, closest to the pond (not in) from tee shot, longest drives, and longest putts were also awarded.

Door prize ticket holders had a wide variety of items they could win, thanks in large part to generous door prize donors. Door prize items included: a flat screen TV donated by E&M Consulting Raymond James; a Phillips Sonicare Dental System donated by Delta Dental; a charcoal smoker donated by Bone Boys BBQ & Catering; a vintage glassware set donated by the Victorian Tudor Inn and a $100 Amazon gift card donated by The Bellevue Hospital; a TaylorMade golf bag and putter donated by Emrhein & Associates and Tim Buit; and a Man Cave inspired gift basket and a putter donated by Forget-Me-Not Flowers and Tim Buit.
